Why is Queer Eye always making me cry?

Today I'll present you the most adorable TV show. It's available on Netflix, so if you watch on this streaming platform, you should definitely check out at least one episode! My first experience with this is quite funny. I'm kind of a person who really needs to hear someone talking when cleans. It was the time when I came back my house after 3 years of studying in Wrocław. I needed to unpack my stuff which filled my whole room. It was a full day of work. So I decided to play Queer Eye (which Netflix was always suggesting me) to listen during the cleaning and unpacking. That was such a BAD idea because when I glanced for a moment, later I couldn't focus on my task, I really needed to watch this amazing show! In the end I spent all day watching the show instead of unpacking. Are you still dubious? I'll respond for few questions to make you interested

1. What is Queer Eye?

It's an American TV show about makeovers. Five gays (who called themselves as Fab Five) are visiting people who can't really care about themselves. The format of the program is very simple - friend of participant nominates him or her, then Fab Five arrives and the revolution begins! They go through belongings of the participant to know him/her better and understand what he/she likes the most to create the best version of his/herself. We watch how they change in the outside but also in the inside. It's really amazing to see how people starting to love themselves. I love the moment when they look at the mirror and they smile for the first time like the happiest people in the world.

2. Who is a member of the Fab Five?

I'm presenting you (from the left): Tan France, Bobby Berk, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski and Karamo Brown.

Every of them has his own job - Tan is the specialist of fashion, Bobby is the architect so he's responsible for design of (mostly) houses of participants, Jonathan is a queen (yes, I used the word "queen" on the purpose) of grooming, Antoni knows how to cook and Karamo's job is named as "culture" (he talks with people to "cure" them from the past and their problems). This is the team of amazing people who are full of kindness.

Fun Fact - I know, my Polish friends, that you've noticed the surname of Antoni. He has Polish roots ♥ He was born in Canada but his parents are Polish. He grew up speaking English, French and Polish too!

3. Is it useful?

Of course it is! In every episode Fab Five gives us different, little protips. Furthermore, we learn from the makeovers. We can observe the silhouettes of the participants and find one similar to ours - then we can see what type of clothes we should try on. Jonathan teach us how to care about our skin. In every episode Antoni presents new recipe and how prepare the dish. And of course - we're learning to accept and love ourselves.

4. Why is Queer Eye always making me cry?

The answer you'll find in this video. Watch it, please.

The most magical about this show is that it's full of sincerity. People really needs to see how beautiful they are and Fab Five always making them able to see. If you feel down, just watch an episode. Do I cry when I watch it? Yes, but this are tears of joy. For a moment I'm forgetting about all evil stuff in our world because this show won't give you anything but pure happiness.
